HAWKESFORD.-Died of illness on the
24th of October, 1918, at 32nd Clearing Hos-
pital, Beirut. Private Horace, dearly loved
husband of Doris Hawkesford, 180 Collins
street, and eldest son of George and
Emily Hawkesford, 28 Federal-street, North
Hobart, in his 28th year. (Melbourne and

HAWKESFORD. -In loving memory, of my
dear husband Pte. Horace, Hawkesford
(Hock) died of illness 32nd Casualty Clear-
ing Hospital, Beirut Palestine, October
24, 1918.
I remember the morning we parted
I remember your last good bve
Ah, little did I think when you left me
You were going away to die
Dearly loved and sadly missed

HAWKESFORD -In sad and loving memory
of our dear son and brother Horace who
died in Palestine (malaria fever) October
24 1918
My dear son Horace is sleeping his last long
sleep
In a grave we may never see;
May some gentle hand in that distant land
lay down a flower for me

brothers .
HAWKESFORD. - In loving memory of our
dear brother , Private Horace (Ock) Hawkes-
ford, A.S.C., Desert Mounted Corps died
In Palestine October 24 1918
No one knows the silent heartache,
Onlv those can tell
who have lost their best and dearest,
And could not say farewell.

HAWKESFORD - In sad and loving remem-
brance of Private Horace Hawkesford, died
in Palestine, Beirut October 24, 1918.
He died for freedom's sake.
Now the warrior's task is over
now the battle day is past;
Now upon the farther shore
Peacefully he sleeps at last.
