FORSYTH-HOWE
WEDDING
The wedding of Gwendoline Viola,
younger daughter of Mrs M. Howe, Lord
St., Sandy Bay, and the late Mr G.
Howe, to Sgt Edward Forsyth, AIF, sec-
ond son of Mr and Mrs D. Forsyth,
York St., Sandy Bay,, was celebrated at
the Sandy ' Bay . Methodist Church, on ;
Saturday evening. The Rev R. W; '
Little officiated.
The bride was given away Dy her
uncle, Mr W. H. Homer. . She wore a
white trained frock of. lacé and tulle in
low-waisted-style," and a tulle veil held
in place by a ; halo ; of ; iily-of-the-valley.
Misses Amy Forsyth (sister of the bride-
groom ), and Doreen .Homer (cousin of
the bride) were bridesmaids, and wore
frocks of pale green and mauve crepe
respectively. Their shoulder 'length
veils were held in place by topknots-of
pastel .flowers.
Mr L. Eddington was best man and
Mr R. Young , groomsman.
The reception, was held at the Hotel
Astor, where about 40" .guests were en-
tertained. The bride's mother wore a
natural coloured coat over a brown
frock with matching accessories, and a
burgundy ensemble was worn by the
bridegroom's mother. The bride trav-
elled in a blue frock and coat with black
accessories .
