      It is with regret that we have to record the death of Mr Francis H Piesse,
      manager of the Huon.Channel Steam-
      ship Co which took place late last
      night He had a long illness, and a
      short while ago was believed to have
      recovered but his condition again be-
      came serious, and he was placed in a
      private hospital For many yeaTs ho
      had been connected with the river
      steamers, and conducted the business m
      such a way as to be of great assistance
      to the people they served He was for
      several years a Warden of the Marine
      Board, on which his experience and
      judgment were most useful His death
      will be regretted by a wide circle of
      friends and by many others who es-
      teemed him for his personal worth

      husband of Millicent Piesse, aged 58
      years.

      FUNERAL NOTICES.
      PIESSE. - lnterment of the late Mr. Francis
      Henry Piesse will take place at Cornelian
      Bay Cemetery on Monday (This Day).
      Service will be held at St. David's
      Cathedral, Murray-street, at 9.45 a.m.
      Funeral will move from the Cathedral at
      10 a.m., arriving at Cornelian Bay Ceme-
      tery at 10.45 a.m.
