WEDDING BELLS
McDONALD- FORSYTH.
On Saturday, at 11 a.m., at Chal
mers Presbyterian Church, the mar-
nage was solemnised of Miss Margaret
Adelaide Forsvth, only daughter of.
Mr and Mrs Richard Forsyth, Laun-
ceston, with Mr A. O. McDonald, fifth
son of Mr and Mrs Joseph McDonald,
of Ulverstone. The Rev. W. J. Harris
performed the ceremony. The church
was beautifully decorated with Easter
daisies and pink lilies for the occasion
by the choir girls, friends of the bride,
of which she was a member. During
the service Miss Michel sanq; 'Be-
cause.' Miss Melross presided at the
organ, and also plaved, 'The wedding
march' as the bridal Party left the
church. The bride, who entered the
church with her father, by whom she
was given away, wore a magnificent
trained gown of ivory satin and georg-
ette, the bodice, a gracefully draped
tunic of georgette, which were elab-
orately embroidered with pearl and
silver trimming. The satin train fall
ing from the shoulders, was finished
with pearl tassels. Her exquisite veil
was kindlv loaned by her sister-in-law,
of Melbourne. It, was worn over the
face and finished with a swathe of
feathers to match. She also carried a
shower boquet of white roses and
dahlias, with sprays of asparagus fern,
and finished with steamer of white
satin ribbon. Miss Marion Murphy, a
friend of the bride, attended as brides-
maid. Her frock was of exquisite |
maize georgette over maize charmeuse,
and was finished with shadow lace and
spoke-stitching. Her becoming hat was ,
of gold tissue, overlaid with coffee
georgette, and finished with tufts of
feathers to match. The also carried
bouquet of cream roses and autumn
foliage. The bride's niece and
nephew, Meg and Keith Forsyth, at-
tended the bride as train-bearers. Mr,
Frank McDonald {brother of the bride
groom) as best man'. The bride
groom's gifts to the bridesmaids were
gold armlets. Afterwards the wedding,
partv and guests were entertained at
a wedding tea at Charles Hall which
was beautifully decorated for the oc
casion with Easter daisies and palms
Included amongst the numerous and
handsome presents were cheques from
the bride's father, bridegroom's
father and brothers, and the Rev. W
J. Harris. Mr and Mrs McDonald left
later by motor - for Hobart. amidst
showers of confetti and good wishes
for the future. The bride travelled in
a mole cloth costume, beautifully,
braided and finished with buttons.
Her hat was of saxe chenille, finished
with gold tiissue and peach-colored
posies, and motor veil to match , she
also wore a handsome set of squirrel
furs.
