Simmons-Forsyth
The wedding was celebrated at St. George's Church, Invermay, of Marjorie Jean Forsyth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Forsyth, 27 Mayne St., Launceston, and Willoughby George Simmons, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Simmons, 13 Welman St., Launceston.
The ceremony was performed by the Rev. F. H. Lansdell, and Mr. R. Adams was organist.
The bride wore a frock of white brocaded, satin made with a gathered bodice with heart-shaped, neckline trimmed with orange blossom. The long sleeves finished in a point over the hand, and the full skirt fell into a long train. The tulle veil was held in place with a wreath of orange blossom,
and the bride carried a full shower bouquet of white hyacinths, narcissus, and Winter roses.
The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Bertha Forsyth. Her frock of palest pink marocain had a full skirt, V-shaped neckline, and short puffed sleeves. Her bouquet was of pale pink peach blossom and hyacinths Mr. R. J. Simmons, brother of the bridegroom, was best man.
The honeymoon was spent touring Tasmania. The bride travelled in a light woollen ensemble in a honey shade, with accessories to match, and a squirrel fur. The reception was held at the Lounge, Launceston.
Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Simmons will make their home in Hobart.
