- Robert Forsyth was christened 23Nov1829 at Huntly in Aberdeen, Scotland, son of Robert and Catherine Forsyth.
He married Helen Innes - from FreeBMD in Dec qtr Islington ref 1b 395.
In the 1861 Census Robert and Helen are both aged 31 years and living at 23 Parkfield St in Islington, London. With them are their two sons
Michael Bruce and William James Innes aged 3 and 1 respectively, both born in Islington.
Robert's occupation is a Clerk in Provision Merchant.
Robert's brother Michael Bruce aged 28 and an Agent & Traveller to Provision Merchant and Helen's sister Frances Innes aged 24 -
formerly a Lady's maid - are living with the family. There is also a boarder William Layton.
In 1871 the family is living at 15 Cambridge Terrace in Islington. Robert is now a Commission Agent, as is his wife Helen. Their children are -
Michael B 13, William J 11, Jane Elizabeth 9, Frederick G 5 and Catherine M aged 3.

No death found for Robert Forsyth between 1871 and 1881 Census in England.
In 1881 widow Helen Forsyth aged 48 years is still living at 15 Cambridge Terrace, her occupation is 'Letting Apartments'.
With her are her three children Bruce 20, a Banker's Clerk, William 19 and a Broker's Clerk and daughter Jane E aged 18.
There are three lodgers, Robert Morton, John Logie and William McGlashen, all Broker's Clerks, born in Scotland.
A Catherine Forsyth born Middlesex is a pupil aged 14 at 60 Brunsk Rd in Hove in Sussex in the 1881 Census.
No death found for Helen Forsyth after 1881 Census.
At the time of their son Michael's death by drowning in 1913 both Helen and Robert were deceased.
