HAMEL- FORSYTH.
A pretty wedding was celebrated at St. Andrews, Presbyterian Church on Wednesday morning, when Norman Reginald Hamel
of Bukkulla, and Gertrude Lavinia, fourth daughter of Mr. John Forsyth, also of Bukkulla, were joined in the holy bonds of matrimony. The Rev. A. M. Stevenson officiated. The bride who was given away by her father, wore a dress of white silk, hand embroidered, and carried a bouquet of arum lillies and white roses and a hand-bag, the latter being the gift of the bridegroom. The bridesmaids were Miss Mary Forsyth (sister of the bride) and Miss Thelma Hamel (sister of the bridegroom), who wore cream voile dresses, embroidered in pink, with hats to match, and carried shower bouquets.
They also wore gold brooches which were the gifts of the bridegroom. Mr. Herb. Ratliff of Bukkulla, was best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Strand Cafe, where the usual toasts incidental to such an occasion were honoured. Later the happy couple left by car for Warwick, where the honeymoon is to be spent, after which they will return to "Windorah"
Bukkulla, which is to be their future home.
