  James is the third child of John and Catherine. James came to Australia on the "Rajasthan" on 23/6/1862 with his Wife Catherine Nee McCleary and their Son John, who was 1 year old. Their second son William was born on the ship on the way over to Australia, they arrived Brisbane 4/11/1862. James was 26 Years old and Catherine was 22 Years old when they came to Australia. They first settld at Greenmount on the Darling downs but then made their way and settled in the Flinders area of Queensland. James's decendents make up the largest number of members in the Present Clan Forsyth.
