The Inverell Times Friday 11 February 1927 p 2
MEALE- FORSYTH,
St. Augustine's Church of England, Inverell, was the scene of quiet, though pretty wedding on Wednesday morning last when Dorothy Mabel, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
John Forsyth, of "Yarranvale" Bukkulla, was joined in the holy bond of matrimony to John Stanley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Meale, of Goomoorah.Rev. E. H. Stammer was the celebrant.
The bride, who was given away by her father, was very beautifully, attired in a frock of white crepe de chene trimmed with a pleated panel. A white crinoline hat and parchment
shoes and stockings completed the very pretty effect. She also carried a prayer book. Miss Thelma Hamel attended the bride as bridesmaid and wore a dainty frock of mauve crepe
de chene with georgette sleeves to match. She also wore a black crinoline, hat trimmed with mauve and rose trimmings. Mr, Chris Neilson acted as best man.
The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a xylonite manicure set and to the bridesmaid a xylonite brush, comb, mirror and tray. The bride presented the bridegoom with a xylonite shaving
minor.
They later left on a motor tour, the bride travelling in a. cinnamon crepe de chicne, with hat and shoes to match.
Numerous gifts were received by the young couple who intend making "Strathvillon" Goomerah, their future home.
