  On the death certificate of Robert Forsyth, Currier Journeyman (Widower) dd 19Nov1857 it states his parents were James Forsyth, Farmer, and Elspet Logie - both deceased. Robert's son John of Huntly who was present at his father's death was the informant. From the OPR/IGI - marriage of James Forsyth and Elspet Loggie on 18May1782 at Bellie, Moray in Scotland. James and Elspet had four children - details from IGI Robert b 8Mar1792 Anne b 7Nov1793 Alexander b 28Jan1796 and Isobel b 18May1797 Another son James Forsyth possibly born 1788 at Bellie - details from Family Tree 'Banffshire Montomery's' contact Harry Montgomery - email out of date. Tree printed. No details known of these children except Robert who married Catherine in Huntly 1817. Parents of James - there are 3 possibilities on IGI. Have tried with naming patterns but still can not truly decide - one in Banff and 2 in Aberdeenshire. Birth in Keith, Baff - James Forsyth baptised 4May1740 at Keith, parents Alexander Forsyth and Isabel Ferguson who married 30Jun1738 at Keith - IGI ext. Parents of Elspet b 22Dec1754 are Robert Loggie and Margaret Maver who married 28Feb1754 at Speymouth in Moray - their three other children (Elspet's siblings) were James, William b 31May1765 and Robert b 18Jun1768. In contact with Chris Morry who has ancestors for Elspet going back to 1663!
