  David Mailer was born 22Mar1788, the son of David Mailer and Helen Thomson. No marriage can be found between David Mailer and Janet Horn - OPR searched from 1800 to 1815 with no result. In the book of Kinross-shire monumental inscriptions there is an entry for David Mailer and Janet Horn who were buried in Milnathort churchyard. The entry reads "David Mailler, Portioner, Milnathort 1837 49, w Janet Horn 29.7.1857 73, da Helen age 7, gchn Janet Horn, Jas and And Scott aged respectively 9, 14 & 5 yr." From Leslie Coventry in Scotland - genealogist. Fellow Mailler Researcher, Irene Wilson took a photo of this Mailler headstone in Kinross Cemetery. It reads - "Erected in the memory of David Mailler, Portioner, Milnathort who died 1837 age 49 Also Helen his daughter aged 2? years Also Janet Horn his wife 29th July 1857 age 73 Grandchildren Janet Horn, James and Andrew Scott"
