    • According to her death certificate Jane Whyte - married to James Whyte, Shoemaker, died 18Sep1891 at Causewayhead, Logie in Stirling.
      She was aged 78 and died of a Cerebral Haemorrhage. Her parents were David Mailler (Merchant) and Janet Horn - both deceased.
      M.B. Forsyth, Jane's son-in-law of Causewayhead was the informant.
      In the IGI - Jean Mailer was christened 24Mar1813 at Orwell, Kinross - Parents David Mailer and Janet Horn. In all the Census - her name is Jane.
      Jane had four sisters -
      Helen Hames Mailer b 4Sep1814, died 1822
      Euphemia Mailer b 26Sep1816, married William Yule - lots of information on this couple.
      Janet Mailer b 21Sep1818 &
      Margaret Horn Mailer b 8Nov1820.

      Jane and James had seven children - all born Orwell between 1838 and 1856.
      Only Helen Whyte who married Michael Bruce Forsyth found on Scottish Census.
      Janet, Robert, David Mailler, Andrew Coventry, Jane Marshall and James - nil further found.
