- The Death Certificate for son James Alexander Forsyth 21Jan1896 states parents were Robert Forsyth and Catherine m.s. Forsyth.
The only Cathrine Forsyth found on Family Search in Banff or Aberdeen -
was christened 5Aug1792 at Huntly, Aberdeen. Her parents were James and Margaret Forsyth (nee More/Moir) -
according to IGI Index and Scotland OPR.
She had siblings - Mary b 1779, Margaret b 1788, James b 1790, Morrice b 1796 and Alexander George Brodie b 1802 - all in Huntly, Aberdeen.
From the Elgin Library - 'Sacred to the memory of Robert Forsyth, Currier, died at Keith 19Nov1857 aged 62, and Catherine his wife died here 7Jan1851 aged 55. Also William, eldest son of the above, died at Port of Spain, Trinidad, West Indies 6Dec1850 aged 32.'
