- James Alexander Forsyth was born 1852, son of James Alexander Forsyth and Ann Shand.
In the 1861 Census James 8 and sister Anne 6 were living with grandparents Robert and Anne Shand and their daughter Isabella at Mid St, Keith.
In 1871 James A Forsett (sic) aged 17 and his brother William 12 are both living at Mid Street Public House with grandparents Robert and Ann Shand.
James is a Clerk. His grandfather Robert aged 66 is a Railway Carter, grandmother Ann aged 70 a Public House Keeper.
James married Louisa Elizabeth Howe - marriage reg Jun qtr 1877 at Hamstead in Middlesex, England ref 1a 1088.
The marriage took place on 21Apr1877 at the Parish Church, Hamstead. James Alexander Forsyth, Commercial Clerk and Louisa Elizabeth Howe
were married by banns by J Wheeler Talboys. Both bride and groom signed their names. Andrew Findlay and Clara Howe were witnesses.
In the 1881 Census James 29 Commercial Traveller and Louisa 28 and their two children Henry I aged 1 and Ann S aged 3 months were
living at 2 Burton Villas at Ealing in London.
In 1891 the Forsyth family increased by four children - Robert B, Clara L, William E and Walter E. James A is now a Drysalters Woollen
(Supplier of Chemicals for Dyeing) and the family has moved to 21 Kempster Sq in Salford, Lancashire.
James died just after the 1891 Census - death reg Chorton in Lancashire, aged 37 years.
In 1901 Louisa is working as a Monthly Nurse in the home of James and Mary Antriss at 32 Gt Cheetham St, Salford while her six children -
