Died: 26 April 1976
A farm hand who enlisted in the AIF on 16 April 1915. He embarked for Egypt on 7 June 1915.
He joined the 7th Australian Light Horse on 2 October 1915 at Gallipoli. He returned to Egypt after the Gallipoli evacuation on 25 December. He continued to serve with the Brigade in Egypt and Palestine until the end of the war.
On 27 November 1918 he embarked at Kantara (El-Qantara), Egypt for Gallipoli where the Brigade was sent to secure part of the peninsula from possible Turkish military action as well as to locate Turkish military stores. On 20 January the Brigade embarked for Egypt and arrived on 22 January 1919.
He embarked for Australia on 28 June and arrived on 2 August 1919 then was discharged from the AIF on 21 October 1919. [JSB]
