Mr Archibald Forsyth Graham was appointed by State Cabinet yesterday as Government nominee to the Public Service Boord. Mr Graham has been secretary of the Education Department for many years. Aged 52, he entered the public service in 1905. While with the Education Department he was a member of the departmental advisory committee which dealt with questions of policy.
Mr Graham had a distinguished career in the Army during the last war, in which he served for 4 years. He was twice mentioned in despatches and was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal for valuable services in France.

OBITUARY
MR A. F. GRAHAM
Mr Archibald Forsyth Graham, Government representative on the Public Service Board, died yesterday at his home at Gardenvale, aged 58. Mr Graham joined the Education Department in 1905, and in 1909 transferred to the Lands Department for 11 years, and then returned to the
Education Department. He was secretary of the department from 1937 to 1942, when he was appointed to the Public Service Board. He served in the first world war.
Mr Graham has left a widow one son, and two daughters. His funeral will leave the Bathurst Memorial Chapel, corner of Glenhuntly and Kooyong rds, Elsternwick, at 10am on Monday for the Springvale Crematorium.
