CURRENT TOPICS.
Wedding Bells - A pretty wedding was solemnised yesterday at the Church of the Apostles by the Right Rev. Monsignor Beechinor. The contracting parties were Mr. Andrew Forsyth, eldest son of Mr. Richard Forsyth, of Inveresk, and Miss Amy Ferrall, second daughter of Mr. Richard Ferrall, "Bloemnfontein," Invermnay. On the previous evening the guests were entertained by the bride's
parents, a marquee being erected in the garden, where the supper was tastefully laid out. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a becoming gown of cream silk, trimmed with lace and frills, also a veil of orange blossoms.
Tihe bridesmaids, sisters of the bride, Misses Ada and Mildred Ferrall, wore cream voile and large Tuscan hats. The bide's travelling dress was navy blue voile, trimmed with medallion and guipure lace. The bridesmaids each received a gold pendant, the gift of the
bridegroom. The happy couple left by the evening train for the honeymoon.
Messrs. H. Ferrall and A. C. Ferrall acted as best man and groomsman. The presents were numerous and costly.

Machinist Hurt
When a piece of wood flew from a
machine he was operating at the
Launceston railway workshops yes
terday, Andrew Forsyth (57), a
machinist, of 5 Henty-street, Inver
may, was struck on the head and
rendered unconscious. He was taken
to St. Margaret's Hospital, where
he was admitted with concussion and
a lacerated scalp. His condition
last night was satisfactory.
