COMING OF AGE PARTY
Engagement Announced
The engagement, of Miss Linda Forsyth, of Boolaroo, to Mr. Ron Martin,.
of Canberra. was announced at a party
given to celebrate her coming of age by
her parents. Mr. and Mrs. W. Forsyth,
of Creek Reserve, Boolaroo, on Saturday
night. Mr. Martin is a grazier on the
Southern Tablelands.
Among those present were Miss Marie
Dodds. Mr. and Mrs. Berry. Mr. L. Kit
chen, Mrs. Moroney, Mrs. Helga James,
Mrs. J. E. Paynter, Mrs. Kerr. Mrs. M.
McAlister, Mr. R. Martin, Misses Nell
and Nita Brown.
Games and dancing were enjoyed, and
a programme was contributed by Mrs.
Moroney (piano solo), Mrs. Paynter (vio
lin solo). Mrs. Kerr and Miss L. For
syth (solos), Mr. Kitchen (guitar). and
Mr. D. Forsyth (accordion). Mr. J. .E.
Pavnter was M.C.
Miss Forsyth was congratulated by
speakers and presented with a gold wrist
let watch on behalf of her family by a
brother, Mr. D. Forsyth.
Miss Forsyth thanked those present
for their wishes and gifts.
Mr. Forsyth hats just return home after
a stay of two years at Canberra.

At the marriage of Miss Coraline
Linda Forsyth and Mr. Ronald John
Martin, which was celebrated by Rev.
R. J. Cashin at the Boolaroo Meth
odist Church, Mrs. F. Westbrook played
the organ and Miss Grace Dorman
sang.
The bride, who is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. W. N. Forsyth, of Boo
laroo, wore a charming frock of ivory
French brocaded silk. The corsage
was shirred and the skirt was moulded
and fell into a graceful train, which
was trimmed with hand embroidering.
Her full tulle veil was held with a halo
of orange blossoms and silver flowers,
and she carried a sheaf of frangi
panni.
Miss Monica Forsyth and Miss
Nina Brown were the bridesmaids.
Their pink satin gowns were covered
with dainty net redingotes trimmed at
the necklines with violets. They wore
smart hats and carried muffs, trimmed
with violets. The bridegroom, who Is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Martin,
of Victoria, was attended by Mr. J
Thew and Mr. L. Kitchen.
Mr. and Mrs. Forsyth entertained
the guests at the Masonic Hall, Speers
Point. The bride's mother allied triple
georgette and lace in her smart gown
and wore a posy of cactus dahlias.
Mrs. Henry Johnson (Sydney), sister
of the bridegroom, was smartly gowned
in an ensemble of blue cloque and
wore a posy of tiger lilies.
For travelling, the bride wore a tur
quoise blue ensemble and a black hat.
After a honeymoon at Katoomba Mr.
and Mrs. Martin will leave for Vic
toria.
