"John (Jack) Mc Intyre born on 30 October 1883 at North Branch, now Yarranlea, was the fourth child of colin and Elizabeth Mc Intyre.
He attended shcool at Yarranlea, and on leaving, employment was arranged for him with his aunt Vi Brodi, in her general store at Greenmount. He worked at this store for many years before becoming manager of their Nobby Branch.
While at Nobby, Jack married Annie May (May) Forsyth in 1909, an subsequently three children were born to them - Noela, John Forsyth (Jack) and Jessie.
In 1923 they left the employ of the Brodies and purchased a business at Hemmant, thn an outr suburb of Brisbabe. This business was sold in 1929 and they acquired a general store at Palmwoods. Jack continued there until the 1940s when he sold
the store and retired to Maroochydore.
He lived there in retirement until his death in 1951. His wife, May, and daughtrs moved to Brisbane where May died in 1966, his elder daughter, Noela, in 1983. His son Jack died on 27 December 1993
