"Isabella (Bella) Mc Intyre was born on 12 April 1874, the fifth child and third daughter of Malcolm Mc Intyre and Isabella Phair. The family lived in Ipswich, Spring Hill and Allora where Malcolm died in 1880.
Bella was six years old when her mother and family returned to Brisbane and she attended the Central Practising School. On 6 March 1907, she married John (Jack) Henry Forsyth, the son of Robert Heny Forsyth and Mary Ann Cowan.

Greenmount and lived in "Glen Falloch", the former home of Violet Brodie. Jack and Bella Had four children, Vera, Malcolm, Ken, and Ian. The 3 eldest children attended Mt. Sibley State school, and later they all attended the Greenmount State

When the farm Jack worked on had to be sold during a severe draought in the early 1920's, the family moved to Brisbane. They first purchased a shop in Ann Street, Fortitude Valley, but moved to 38 Raceview Avenue, hendra about 1923.
