• Notes

  In the book of Kinross-shire monumental inscriptions there is an entry for the Milnathort churchyard which reads - "John Young 7.2.1852, w Helen Mailler 19.7.1842, da Jane .7.1835; Helen Young Arnott 30.1.1898 & Wm A. her husband 22.1.1899." Fellow Mailler researcher Irene Wilson took a photo of this headstone - sadly photo not very clear so cannot read inscription. "Erected by John Young in the memory of daughter Jane Young d 1835 aged 5 and Helen Mailler his wife who died 19th July 1812 (should be 1842)".
