Wedding
Mitchell-Sloggett.
A wedding of much interest to the district was solemnised at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Perth, on Saturday, March 4, when Marie Joan Sloggett and Athol Ernest Mitchell were joined in Holy Matrimony.
The bride entered the church on the arm of her father, wearing a beautiful white gown of all-over lace, with a yioke of georgetteand net and pretty flared peplum.
Her lovely, embroidered tulle veil was held in place by a coronet of fresh flowers.
She was attended by Miss Lynda Nevill. wearing an apple green all-over lace gown, with matching: tulle picture hat. She carried a bouquet of pastel flowers.
The 'groom was attended by Mr. Max Jones.
The breakfast was held at Marelle's, where a large number of relatives and friends were received by Mrs. A. ,W. Sloggett wearing a smart powder blue frock artistically beaded and shoulder spray of red roses and black accessories. She was assisted by Mrs. H. Jones, wearing a grey crepe suit, grey accessories and nink shoulder s.pray.
The duties of chairman were ably carried out hy Mr. Gunsen.
The three-tiered wedding cake, which was made by the bride mother and beautifully decorated by "a friend, Mrs. Grace, took pride of plate on the bridal table.
After the sumptuous breakfast had been partaken of, the guests were entertained with vocal and other musical items rendered by Mrs. Dunham, Mr. Stan Mitchell and Mr. Max Jones. while the bride changed into her travelling frock of green crepe, with beaded yoke, matching hat, and snakeskin handbag and shoes.
The couple will make their home at Jitarning.
