Mr. James D. Forsyth to Miss Sylvia Wood.
The marriage of Mr. James D. Forsyth, eldest
son of Quartermaster-Sergeant Forsyth (on
active service) and Mrs. Forsyth, "The
Heath," Arthur-street, Fairfield, to Miss Sylvia
M. Wood, second eldest daughter of Mrs.
Wood, Page-street, Clifton Hill, was celebrated
at the Methodist Church, Clifton Hill, on Saturday,
January 8.
The bride, who, was given away by her brother,
looked charming in her gown of ivory
crepe de chine, the veil being of Brussels lace.
The bridesmaids were Miss Violet Wood (sister
of bride), and Miss Sylvia Forsyth (sister
of bridegroom). They wore costumes of white
. crepe de chine, with dainty, little Leghorn hats
trimmed with pale pink posies and black vel- ,
vet, and they carried posies to match.
After the ceremony the wedding breakfast
was served at the Cafe Francais. 'The honeymoon
was spent at Healesville.
