THORPE Mr. Frederick Ashley Thorpe, whose funeral look place at the Northern Suburbs Crematorium yesterday, was president of the Central District Am-bulance and chairman of committee, and chairman of the New South Wales Ambulance Transport Service Board. Mr. Thorpe, who was 82 years old, was a patron and life member of the Maroubra Surf Life Saving Club, of which he was a former president. He is survived by four sons and three daughters.
