      THE marriage of Miss Gladys May Smith, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Smith, of Eungai, New South Wales, with Dr. Bruce Forsyth Gates, third son of Dr. and Mrs. Edmond Gates, of Longueville, took place: quietly yesterday, at Christ Church St. Laurence. The Rev., James Stuart Watts performed the ceremony.
      The bride chose a teal blue wool crepe, and her doll's hat of Burgundy felt was trimmed with tinted ostrich feathers;
      A reception for immediate friends and relatives was held at the Carlton Hotel.
