GOWN OF SILVER
LAME.
Former Mayoress Married.
I of great interest to North Sydney residents was the wedding last night of Miss Cecily Mary Forsyth, a former Mayoress of that suburb, and Mr. Geoffrey Maxwell Newman, which was celebrated at St Thomas's Church North Sjdney
The bride who is the youngest daughter of Mr R C Forsyth of Wollstonecraft, and of the late Mrs Forsyth, acted as Mayoress when her father was the Mayor In 1935. She was attended by her sistci Mrs A N Harding, at whose home in Killara the wedding reception was held. Mrs Clarence Clayton a sister of the bidegroom, and Miss Shirley Smith
A gown of silver and white lame was worn by the bride, and her tulle veil was held in place by a halo of silver and white beads. She carried a bouquet of hyacinths and stock
SHEPHERDESS HATS
In frocks of cyclamen marquisette made with ruched bodices were the matrom-of honour and the biidesmald. Their shephedrss hats were trimmed with fiowers and they carried bouquets of fuchsia-coloured stock to mathc the belts of their frocks.
Mr Kenneth Polkinghorne attended the bridegroom who is the youngest son of Mr and Mrs H J Newman of Mosman and Dr
Clive Harris and Mr Frank Piper were the groomsmenn Canon H N Baker officiated at the ceremony
Mi and Mrs Newman will spend their honejmoon at Mount Buffalo and Melbourne
