HODGES-FORSYTH
The wedding of Miss Jean Campbell Forsyth, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Forsyth, of Ballina, to Mr. Herbert Francis Hodges, eldest son of the late Mr and Mrs. H. Hodges, of Narromine, was celebrated at the Methodist Church, Ballina. The Rev. E. G. Connibear performed the ceremony.
The bride wore a trained frock of ivory lace and moontide silk, and a tulle veil (lent by Mrs. Ray Budden, Lismore), which was held by a topknot of satin roses. Her bouquet was of chrysanthemums and asters. She was preceded by her niece, Helen Graham, as flower girl, who wore a long frock of pink French sheer and carried a basket of pink asters and roses tied with tulle.
The bridesmaids, Miss Dorothy Forsyth, sister of the bride and Miss Lola Hodges (Sydney) sister of the bridegroom, wore frocks of pink French sheer and tulle veils, held with a cluster of shaded velvet flowers. Their bouquets were of pink chrysanthemums and asters. Mr. Frank Fawcett was best man and Mr. Stewart Graham, groomsman.
A reception was held at "Dalkeith," Ballina, the home of the bride's parents.
