MRS. MOORE SIMS.
AN APPRECIATION.
(BY H.A.)
By the death of Mrs Moore Sims of Kamilaroi Station, Bellata the Country Womens Association loses one of its earliest and greatest workers
When the first lion secretary toured the north-west Mrs Moore Sims held meetings at her station homestead one day at 11, 3, and in the evening so that all the district could attend to hear of the new work
Every year when she and her family came to Sydney for the hot weather she threw herself into the work of the metropolitan CWA branches and when money had been raised to establish a seaside rest house for outback women and children it was Mrs Moore Sims who with her husband found
the excellent corner site and cottage at Dee- why which was bought and became Keera House Mrs Moore Sims was appointed one of the first trustees of Keera and held that position until her death She was also president of her own blanch at Nallawa till this week She was a member of the CWA executive In 1925 1920 and 1927 and vice president in 1925 and 1926
Her greatest work of recent years was when with Mrs Mat Sawyer she collaborated In compiling the Coronation Cookery Book Since its first issue in May over 10 000 copies have been sold. Up till her illness she was trying out recipes for the new edition
