BREVITIES.
The death is announced of Mr. James Forsyth, eldest son of Alderman T. T. Forsyth one of the pioneers of the Willoughby district. The deceased gentleman, who was an old Newingtonian, after leaving college, went into the leather trade, and for many years was yard manager at the tannery of Messrs. J. Forsyth and Sons. Willoughby. Mr. Forsyth was a well-known sport, and had long; enjoyed the distinction of being the only boy who played in senior cricket. On Sunday afternoon he sought the shade of a tree on his own land, and was there found dead by his wife some time after.
