Mrs. T. T. FORSYTH.
The death occurred at her residence, Valencia, Lane Cove Road, Chatswood, of Mrs. Ann Lile Lewis Forsyth, widow of the late Mr. T. T. Forsyth, at the age of 84 years.
The late Mrs. Forsyth was born In Wales, and came to Sydney with her parents when 18 years of age. The family resided in Sydney and Parramatta for a brief period, and then removed to Willoughby, where Mrs. Forsyth had resided for more than sixty years. She had for many years past taken a keen Interest In the Royal North Shore Hospital, the Willoughby Benevolent Society, and other charitable bodies. Mrs. Forsyth was also a prominent member of the Artarmon Methodist Church.
Mrs. Forsyth is survived by seven sons and four daughters. Alderman R. T. Forsyth, Mayor of Willoughby, is a son.

Dr. Valentine Macdonald, of Como Avenue, Toorak, who died yester
day, was buried In the Melbourne General Cemetery this afternoon.

After a short illness. Dr. Valentine
Macdonald, of Como Avenue, Toorak
died in a private hospital eariy today.
His numerous friends were pro
foundly Allocked by tho suddenness
with which his death followed his
attacK or itincss.
Dr. Macdonald, who was a step
brother of Mrs Harold Clapp, leaves
a widow and one son, David, a pupil
of Melbourne Grammar School. He
was a prominent Melbourne dentist
for 20 years, and for the last 13
years practised in Coltins Street, City,
as a partner of Mr Allan P. Reade
Lane.
Dr. Macdonald was a native of
Queensland and was educated at
Brisbane Grammar School. He passed
later to the Mclbourno University and
from thero to tho University of
Pennsylvania, whero .he took his
D.D.S. degree.
Passing from here to the University
of Edinburgh, he took his L.R.C.P.
degree. On his return to Australia,
ho practised in Brisbane for a number
of years before coming to Melbourne
about 20 years ago.
KEEN SPORTSMAN
When tho war broke out, he ro-
verted to surgery and joined the Army
Medical Corps of tho Australian
Forces. Ho served with the Forces
at Sidcup, England, and in Palestine.
Dr. Macdonald was a keen sports
man and played first-class cricket In
Brisbane, and later in Victoria for
several years. In this State he was a
member of the old Hawksburn
cricket team. A brother, Robert Mac
donald, played in England with Lei
cester- ,
He abandoned cricket fbr golf,
later, and joined the Royal Melbourne
Golf Club, of which he was a member
for many years. He was an enthusi
astic golfer.
Dr. Macdonald's wife was formerly
Miss Forsythe, of New South Wales.
