| Adam Kelvin Forsyth and Seizo Miisho of Shirase Expedition Shirase expedition, Sydney, 1911 #2
Near the camp in Sydney. Kelvin, (Junior high school upperclassman). This is Seizo Miisho, the expedition Medical Officer and photographer, shaking hands with a local schoolboy, Adam Kelvin Forsyth, probably known as Kelvin to differentiate from his father Adam Forsyth, Council Alderman at the time and later Mayor of Vaucluse. - See more at: http://australianmuseum.net.au/image/Shirase-expedition-Sydney-1911-2#sthash.DVLj8H2s.dpuf
Rights:© Penguin Do Pharmacy/Kazuyuki Miisho NotesKelvin was born in 1899 and lived with his family in “Rosecliffe”, one of the first homes to be built in Fitzwilliam Road Parsley Bay, around 1906, and it can be seen in the background of an early photograph of the Parsley Bay Suspension Bridge. This image symbolises the feelings of mutual friendship between the expedition members and local residents.
