James Imlay Forsyth's House Additional Notes
"One comment re the historic ownership ....'and then to Ina Grainager of Canberra and a chartered accountant from Orange'.
This was Jean Davidson's husband, acting on behalf of her mother Daisy Davidson nee Forsyth. Ina Grainager was her sister. As the 'new owner' Daisy Davidson retained this house until 1971, when she moved to live in Orange. This would have an occupancy by Forsyths of 47 years and not the 34 as stated" Source: John Forsyth.
Another error in the Article - 'That James Forsyth was headmaster of Beecroft Public School from 1915 to 1924'. The actual time he spent as Headmaster at this school was from 1902 to 1924 or 23 years ( The History of Beecroft Public School 1897-1997(pages 21-28.)
